Central-Phenix City used a suffocating defensive effort to whip Auburn 36-0 on the road on Friday, allowing the Tigers 19 yards rushing and turning three turnovers into touchdowns.

The second-ranked Red Devils improved to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in Class 7A, Region 2 while No. 5 Auburn fell to 5-2, 3-1 and was held scoreless for the first time in 70 games.
