Airbnb has announced a USD1 million (AUD1.5 million) investment into community projects across New York and New Jersey, part of its Host City Impact Program tied to its global partnership with FIFA.

The investment, delivered in collaboration with the New York New Jersey (NYNJ) Host Committee, includes the creation of five new soccer mini-pitches across the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and New Jersey, alongside support for two free community events during the tournament: the Queens Community Day festival and a fan celebration in the Bronx.
