CHINO HILLS — The Chino Hills football team got its reputation back on Friday night.
Despite losing to San Clemente before heading into their bye week, the Huskies didn’t shy away from turning things around at home against Upland. After trailing by three touchdowns at halftime, the Huskies mounted a comeback to win, 27-21, in overtime.
“I’m so proud of my coaches, players, and this team for the way they came out and battled back,” Chino Hills head coach Keland Johnson said. “What a crazy game in overtime.”
The Huskies improved to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the Baseline Conference, while the Stouts fell to 1-5, 0-1.
Chino Hills has had a longstanding losing record against the Stouts, but picked up its second straight victory and first home victory against Upland since 2016.
