BILLINGS — On Friday at Wendy’s Field at Daylis Stadium, Elias Bonner gave Montana State fans a glimpse of what the talented 5-foot-11, 185-pound wide receiver and defensive back will bring to the Bobcats.
Bonner threw his first career touchdown pass, connecting with Westdon Kelley for 68-yards on a trick play, and also hauled in a 26-yard pass from CJ Johnson as the Golden Bears (5-1, 4-0) won the Daylis Bowl with a dominant 42-6 Eastern AA football victory over Billings Skyview (1-5, 1-3).
Bonner, who said he is projected to play safety on an athletic scholarship at MSU, didn’t announce his commitment on social media and explained his verbal commitment when asked what his post high school plans were after Friday’s game.
