COVINA — Charter Oak dominated rival Glendora 40-7 on Friday night, looking more like a team chasing its first win than one improving to 4-1.
“Our kids are humble, they’re hungry,” Chargers head coach Dominic Farrar said about the team. “We have a gifted and talented senior group…they’ve hardened, gone through the fire. It’s about them leaving a legacy.”
Senior quarterback Corin Berry threw for 160 yards and had four total touchdowns, while senior running back Torry Huff rushed for 123 yards and two scores.
The game took place on Charter Oak’s Crucial Catch Night. Players and coaching staff were sporting different colored arm bands to represent a loved one who has battled cancer.
