Director Premkumar, known for emotional films like 96 and Meiyazhagan (Telugu: Sathyam Sundaram), is now moving into action. Fans have been awaiting his film with Chiyaan Vikram, tentatively titled Chiyaan64, announced in July, but that project is still in the writing stage. Premkumar said he needs more time to complete the script.

In the meantime, Premkumar will direct a new action thriller starring Fahadh Faasil. The director has been working on this project for almost four years. Speaking in an interview, he said, “My film with Fahadh will be very different from my previous movies in terms of genre. But it will still have the emotional core that connects with the audience.”
