Pensioners at a retirement complex have been told off for vaping - and warned "action will be taken" if they are caught with any illegal drugs.
Bosses at Homemanor House in Watford, Hertfordshire, sent a letter to all residents cautioning against illegal substance use last week, on September 23.
The correspondence was issued as a reminder that "all communal areas are smoke-free, including corridors, lifts, and stairwells."
However, it continued to state "in the event that illegal substances are present anywhere in the building [...] action will be taken."
Constructed in 1985, Homemanor House contains 85 flats and accommodates roughly 90 people.
The building only admits residents who are aged 60 years or above.
