Three persons, including a woman, were killed on Friday night when their motorcycle collided with a truck trailer that suddenly retraced on Ram Tirath Road near the Ajnala bypass flyover.

The deceased were identified as Sunny (27) of Nehru Colony, Raman (22) of Pal Avenue, and his mother Geeta (43). The police said that the accident took place around 11 pm when the trailer’s driver, heading from Mahal village towards the bypass, lost control of the vehicle while climbing the flyover, causing it to start moving back.

The motorcycle-borne victims, who were following the trailer, could not stop in time and were run over by the heavy vehicle, resulting in their instant death.
