It's like a rain-soaked ritual here on the Space Coast, according to Malcolm Denemark, FLORIDA TODAY senior photographer.
Every time there is a bad storm or hurricane coming, to shoot the water and the breeze
The structure over the ocean shows perspective and wave size, making for powerful photos showing Ma Nature’s strength.
But as Hurricane Humberto approached the coast recently, Denemark wanted to shoot something different.
"So I went out in the rough surf with a GoPro waterproof camera," he said.
"Got some good shots that ran in print showing powerful waves, and this photo of a wave crashing over me ... not great storm art, but a pretty moment."
And, with details you can almost feel dripping off the page, he reeled in this splashy Photo of the Week.
