A Connecticut town is planning to sell a number of properties because the taxes on them have not been paid, according to an official.
The town of Bloomfield has on multiple occasions during the past several months given taxpayers notice of the delinquent taxes and a chance to pay the amount owed, records show.
As of Friday, there were 14 properties on the list to be sold at the October tax sale; records show that other properties initially listed as in the pending sale have had the outstanding taxes paid and were there taken off the list. The outstanding amounts paid as of Friday totaled $56,478, records show.
