SRINAGAR : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday raised grave concerns over the state of affairs at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), warning that the institution is drifting away from its founding vision due to administrative and academic failures. Addressing a protest march held by PDP, Mufti said BGSBU, a premier centre of higher education in the Pir Panjal region, is reeling under the absence of a full-time Registrar, shortage of both teaching and non-teaching staff, and lack of modern, career-oriented courses. She described the university as “a beautiful dream slowly turning into a nightmare” and held the administration responsible for what she termed an unacceptable decline.
