Belagavi: Police have detained 11 individuals for questioning in connection with a stone-pelting incident reported from Khadak Galli.

City Police Commissioner Bhushan Borase visited the site on Friday to inspect the situation. Speaking to reporters, he said, “A clash broke out between members of two communities in Khadak Galli. There was a religious procession today with a fixed route, but some participants deviated from it. When locals questioned this, an altercation ensued.”

According to police, the Khadebazar Police Station has registered a case for unauthorized route change and stone-pelting, and the detained individuals are being interrogated.
