Bengaluru, Oct 4 : The Government of Karnataka has announced the State Film Awards for 2021, honouring excellence in Kannada cinema across artistic, technical, and performance categories.

Leading the honours was Doddahatti Boregowda, which was adjudged best film, while 777 Charlie and Bisilu Kudure were named second best and third best films, respectively.

In a strong year for Kannada cinema, Rakshit Shetty won the Subbaiah Naidu Best Actor Award for his emotionally powerful performance in 777 Charlie, while Archana Jois received the best actress award for her role in Mute, a film that explores a woman’s emotional healing through her bond with a dog.
