COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ryan Day has presented a lofty goal to Ohio State’s offense, and a game against Minnesota presents a chance to start achieving it.

Day is relatively happy with what he’s seen from his offense through four games, given that it has a new play caller in Brian Hartline and a new quarterback in Julian Sayin . Sure, the unit has been more conservative than most would’ve anticipated coming into the season, but that’s been by design . Plus, the OSU’s conservative approach hasn’t meant sacrificing efficiency and execution.

Except in one area, and that’s the place that has Day’s attention right now.

“Can’t take negative plays in the red zone,” Day said. “That’s for everybody.”
