DENVER (KDVR) — Denver's weather forecast cools down both Sunday and Monday as the area awaits rain chances on both days. Look for temperatures to return to the 70s by the middle and end of the work week with drier air.

Weather today: Cooler and breezy with late showers

Denver kicks off our Sunday with sunny and cool conditions. Winds start from the west and turn northeast around 10-20 miles per hour with gusts over 30 miles per hour again possible.

Temperatures drop to highs only in the 60s for much of the state, but southeast Colorado likely stays in the 80s. Showers may form along the Front Range foothills and into the mountains beginning after dinnertime tonight. Some of the highest elevations may also see snow overnight Sunday.
