SEATTLE — Two swings changed everything.
Veteran second baseman Jorge Polanco hit a pair of solo home runs off Tigers ace Tarik Skubal, powering the Seattle Mariners to a 3-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Sunday night at T-Mobile Park and evening the American League Division Series at one game apiece.
Polanco broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning with a line-drive homer to left field on a 2-0 slider that caught too much of the plate. His second came with two outs in the sixth, a 3-2 fastball he drilled down the left-field line.
