Actor Ben Stiller has said his comedy duo parents Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara gave him a “commitment” to “hard work”.

His parents’ love for film and TV meant he “knew that was what I really wanted to do”, the 59-year-old told PA before the release of his Apple TV+ documentary about them, Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost .
