Why is Sharad Purnima celebrated?

The auspicious Hindu festival, also known as Kumara Purnima, Kojagari Purnima, Navanna Purnima, Kojagrat Purnima, Sharad Poonam, Raas Purnima or Kaumudi Purnima, celebrates the night that the rāsalīlā was performed between Krishna and the gopis of Braj.
