‘I thought it was a duck’: WA man taken aback by bizarre sighting during morning walk in Mandurah

A West Aussie’s morning walk took a bizarre turn after sighting what he originally thought was a duck bobbing around in the water.

Matthew Griffiths, visiting parents in Mandurah , decided to get up early and take a scenic walk along the Mandurah Estuary Bridge.

At around 6.40am on Monday morning, Griffiths decided to film some dolphins before noticing something unusual gliding along the water.

“I was on my morning walk, and I was just walking along the (Mandurah) bridge... saw dolphins on the way over and thought that’s cool,” he told PerthNow .

“Then had a look around at the other end of the bridge, turned around all of of I saw this, I thought it was a duck, moving through the water.”

Still unsure what it was, the WA man decided to start filming and received a surprise when h
