Emergency services were called to the Harp Hotel shortly after 4.30pm on the Labour Day public holiday.
Paramedics treated a man aged in his 40s for a stab wound to his upper leg.
The man sustained no other injuries.
Paramedics took the injured man to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.
Police have established a crime scene at the Corrimal Street pub and cordoned off the entrance to the venue.
