The Tamil Nadu government has urged school administrators to take necessary precautions to safeguard students during the monsoon season as schools resume operations after the quarterly exam vacation.

The exams took place between September 10 and 26, and now the focus shifts to ensuring the safety and well-being of the students.

Concurrently, the state will open admissions for the 2025-26 academic year from October 6 to 17 under the Right to Education Act. This follows a release of Rs 450 crore from the Centre, aimed at reimbursing tuition fees for students in private schools eligible under the Act.
