Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has sent a message to Fiorentina fans following a disappointing start to the season for his side.

The club currently sit in 17th place in Serie A, and are only out of the relegation zone on goal difference.

Following a 2-1 home loss against Roma on Sunday, they are one of just four teams yet to taste victory in their opening six games of the season. Fiorentina have drawn three and lost three of their matches.

They did take the lead against Roma through Moise Kean, but first-half goals from Matias Soule and Bryan Cristante saw Roma turn the match around.

Taking to Instagram following the game, De Gea shared a picture of the team in a huddle, along with a message to fans.
