Mason Shearer of Southern Boone football has been voted the Boone County High School Athlete of the Week for Sept. 29-Oct. 4.

The Eagles' quarterback totaled five total touchdowns in Southern Boone’s 34-20 win over Eldon. Two came through the air, with a pair more on the ground. He also caught a score in the winning effort.

Shearer collected 70.32% of the votes. Prince Collins of Hickman football placed second, while his teammate Jeyshaun Scott placed third.
