D.C. Council’s Brooke Pinto joins race for Congress, challenging Norton

D.C. Council member Brooke Pinto (D-Ward 2), who oversees public safety and has represented downtown D.C. since 2020, announced Monday that she is running for Congress to represent the District as its nonvoting House delegate — becoming the second council member to challenge Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D) for the seat.
