Prime Minister Narendra Modi today hailed India’s historic performance at the World Para-Athletics Championships. In a social media post, the Prime Minister said the Indian contingent had its best-ever performance, winning 22 medals, including 6 Gold Medals. He congratulated the athletes saying that their success will inspire several people. He further expressed pride for each and every member of the contingent and wished them the very best for their future endeavours. The Prime Minister further said that hosting the tournament in Delhi has also been an honour for India. He expressed gratitude to the athletes and support staff from almost 100 nations who were part of the tournament.
