Greedy ticket touts have been ramping up prices on nine out of 10 briefs for Scottish gigs through a popular resale website, a probe has found.
Tours of artists in Scotland this summer, including Lewis Capaldi, Oasis and others have been plagued by touts, with many harvesting tickets using computer programmes.
Now, a snapshot of traffic on the resale ticket site Viagogo found that more than 95 per cent of briefs on sale are from touts, all listing for above face value with some 80 per cent of inflated tickets from overseas sellers.
Campaigners are now calling on the UK Government to hammer touts with a cap on profits on ticket resales, reports the Daily Record .
