There's months to go until fans get to see it for themselves but the Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossover is certainly getting them talking.

Both of the ITV soaps offered a joint update last week, confirming that filming was officially underway for the one-off episode which will see the network's beloved soaps come together for the first time.

The standalone episode, set to be dubbed 'Corriedale', will see the residents of Weatherfield join forces with their Yorkshire neighbours in an action packed hour of drama.

Corriedale will air on ITV, STV, ITVX and YouTube in early 2026, and will herald the start of the new soap power hour schedule, with each show screening 30 minute episodes every weekday, Emmerdale at 8pm, followed by Coronation Street at 8.30pm.
