Thinking back to the emotions that came with his first visit to Busch Stadium as a in the days after he was taken in the second round of the 2021 MLB draft, outfield prospect Joshua Baez recalls how fast everything moved.

Just over four years later, in a visit to the Cardinals’ home ballpark following a breakout minor league season, the 22-year-old Baez feels “things have slowed down” around him. Along with that has come a clearer vision of where he hopes to be in the near future.

“I felt like this was a lot, but now I see myself being here. I feel like, in the future, I will be capable of playing here every single day. I just have to continue to prove myself,” Baez said during an interview at Busch Stadium during the final days of September.
