SRINAGAR : For weeks, train services across the Kashmir Valley have been running behind schedule, leaving regular commuters, students, and office goers frustrated. The delays, often stretching from thirty to forty-five minutes, have disrupted routines and forced many to seek alternative transport.

“I am a regular traveller,” said Dr Shahzad, a lecturer who commutes from Budgam to Sopore. “Since the beginning of this month, all trains have been running late. Our 3:30 train from Baramulla now leaves around 4:45 or even later, and the speed is very slow.”

Another frequent traveller shared a similar concern. “It has been going on for three weeks now. The delays have become a routine problem,” he said.
