Kelli Anne Sewell’s first job out of college was in tech sales. But she’s always loved makeup, and she needed a creative outlet. “I would come home from my corporate job and make beauty tutorials with no experience,” the 30-year-old celebrity makeup artist says. “I was just teaching myself for fun.” Then the pandemic hit, and since she was working from home, she was able to devote more time to her Instagram account. She began going live every Wednesday to drink wine and do her makeup to an audience of “about seven people.”
