Michigan has been enjoying record-breaking warmth for October, but temperatures are set to fall back to more seasonal levels as rain moves into the state Oct. 6-7.
The The Upper Peninsula and northern Michigan are experiencing rain and storms today, Oct. 6, while the southern Lower Peninsula will see thunderstorms later Monday and into Tuesday, Oct. 7.
"Showers and a few thunderstorms expected ahead of a cold front tonight (Oct. 6) into Tuesday (Oct. 7) morning. A cool down follows for mid-week," the National Weather Service in Detroit said on X on Oct. 6.
