NEW DELHI: Calling it the "mother of elections," the Election Commission on Monday blew the conch for the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar announced that the elections will be conducted in two phases — November 6 and 11 — and the results will be declared on November 14. Ahead of the elections, the battle lines are clearly drawn. The NDA — with BJP, JD(U), and LJP (RV) — is preparing to face a united opposition led by RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav , with backing from Congress and Left parties across all seats.
