PULLMAN, Wash. — First responders tackled an apartment fire in Pullman on Sunday.
According to Pullman city officials, it happened in the area of Northwest Larry and North Yates around 6 p.m.
The City of Pullman said no one was injured in the fire, but the building was severely damaged. Police said someone living at the apartment complex "may have intentionally caused an explosion with his unit."
Authorities identified 40-year-old Elijah Regan as the suspect, and the Spokane County Bomb Squad was called to the apartment complex as a precaution.
A deputy later found Regan's vehicle which was traveling on Highway 194, and a vehicle pursuit led Regan and law enforcement to the Idaho state line at Highway 195 and Highway 95.
