Upscale Italian restaurant Osteria I Nonni is closing down after more than two decades serving fresh pasta and cocktails in the Twin Cities.
The owners of the Lilydale institution discontinued lunch service on Sept. 30 and announced the final day of operations will be Saturday, Oct. 18.
"It has been an absolute pleasure to host you for everything from simple happy hours on our patio, to our wine events & dinners, and all of your special occasions that you graciously allowed us to be a part of," the business shared in a closing announcement.
The restaurant’s neighboring sister business, Buon Giorno Deli, will close the following Saturday, but the owners are currently looking for somewhere to relocate the Italian market and deli.
