EVANSVILLE — Officials are continuing to investigate a large fire that engulfed an Evansville apartment building early Sunday, displacing more than a dozen people.

The Evansville Fire Department first responded to the blaze at Cross Lake Apartments in the 700 block of Biltmore Way around 3 a.m. after multiple 911 callers reported observing flames and smoke emanating from one of the complex's buildings.
