The SNP Government has confirmed it will deliver its final Budget before the 2026 Holyrood election on January 13. ‌

Nationalist ministers usually announce their draft spending plans for the year ahead in December - but the timing of the UK Government Budget in November has meant a rethink was required. ‌

Shona Robison, the Finance Secretary, warned she faced "difficult choices" and blamed Westminster, despite the SNP Government being awarded a record devolution settlement. ‌

Robison said: "Our Budget will target key priorities for Scotland such as eradicating child poverty and supporting the NHS, whilst setting out a comprehensive approach to ensure our finances remain sustainable.
