Amazon has apparently reacted to the backlash it has received over the decision to digitally manipulate artwork for the James Bond movies on its streaming service.
Last week, 007 fans noticed that Prime Video had shared new images to promote the Bond films that were available to stream – with one major tweak.
It was quickly spotted that bosses had made the decision to edit out the guns that the various actors who have played the iconic secret agent over the years were holding, and when the news made it to social media, people had a lot of thoughts.
Amazon removing images of guns from James Bond cover art is the most American approach to gun control imaginable. Well done. pic.twitter.com/qH9GaiSfba — Agent Smart (@agentsmart) October 4, 2025
