University of Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders said Saturday that he is “hurting like crazy” and believes he may have more blood clots in his leg.
“Cat’s out of the bag. All right. I think I’ve got more blood clots,” he told reporters after Colorado’s 35-21 loss to TCU. “ It don’t make sense. I’m hurting like crazy. … So that’s what’s going on. I’m not getting blood to my leg. That’s why my leg is throbbing. Sorry to get that out, but thank you for noticing.”
Sanders, 58, said he had a doctor’s appointment scheduled for Monday. He spent most of the fourth quarter of Saturday’s loss coaching with one shoe on his left foot and sat on a stool at times, as well.
