CLEVELAND — Ohio's Nov. 4 general election will be here before you know it -- and your chance to vote absentee or early in-person begins Tuesday.

IMPORTANT DATES TO KNOW

The Ohio Secretary of State's Office outlines the following dates when it comes to early voting in this year's general election:

Oct. 7: Absentee voting by mail begins. Early in-person voting begins.

Oct. 28: Absentee ballot applications must be received by your board of elections by 8:30 p.m. Here's how to request your absentee ballot .

Nov. 3: Mailed absentee ballots must be postmarked by this date.
