Assam CM Announces Rs 5 Lakh as Ex-Gratia to the 9 Workers Who Died in Chennai

The workers died after the steel arch they were working on at the North Chennai Thermal Power Station at Ennore SEZ, crashed

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today announced Rs 5 lakh each as ex-gratia to the families of the 9 workers from Assam who died at the thermal power station mishap on September 30 evening.

“The Assam Cabinet today decided to extend Rs 5 lakh as one time help to the families of the nine workers who died in Chennai. We once again convey our deepest condolences to the families of each of the deceased,” CM Sarma said addressing the media in Guwahati today after the Cabinet meeting.
