The Los Angeles Fire Department is investigating after up to two gallons of an "unknown liquid" was taped to the front doors of a bank in Hollywood.
At about 8:45 a.m., two one-gallon bottles containing the mystery fluid were taped to the front doors of a bank in the 1600 block of Vine Street, the LAFD said in a news alert.
That address corresponds to a Wells Fargo branch, and footage from the scene shows the area just outside the bank taped off.
No one has been sickened or injured, fire officials added, but it could be a while before the area is cleared. Vine Street is closed in the meantime.
"This will likely be an extended duration operation to safely identify and properly disposed of the liquid," they said.
