BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - ESPN is denying reporting that sports personality Paul Finebaum has had appearances on some ESPN programming canceled since his announcement that he’s considering a run for the U.S. Senate.
A reliable source did confirm appearances outside of his own show on SEC Network were canceled, but ESPN is describing this situation differently.
They say Finebaum was never banned and any reporting on that is totally false.
They also say Finebaum is going to appear on First Take Tuesday, Oct. 6 which airs in the mornings on ESPN and on Sports Center this weekend.
They say appearances for commentators change from week-to-week and they are trying to get other analysts experience on programming in the event that Finebaum takes an absence to run for senate.
