LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Police are investigating a shooting reported Monday morning in the northwest Las Vegas valley.

The incident happened near West Grand Teton Drive and North Tee Pee Lane. Officers responded just before 9 a.m. after receiving calls of gunfire in the area.

One person was shot and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Their current condition has not been released.

The suspect involved remains outstanding, and police are urging the public to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
