According to a source, Werner could be available for a trade as the defensive player is underperforming, but it might be better to trade him and embrace the rebuild. The Saints are nowhere near being a postseason contender for at least the next three seasons with their quarterback situation, so they should firesale plenty of talent, including Werner, who will likely garner some viable draft capital.
