Waynesburg is No. 1 in the Post-Gazette’s girls volleyball rankings for the first time in school history. The Raiders (13-0) moved up one spot in the Class 2A rankings after Hopewell (11-1) fell from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 3-1 loss to Avonworth last Tuesday.

Seton LaSalle (13-2) moved up one spot to No. 2, while Hopewell dropped to No. 3. The Rebels have a key match in Section 2 against South Allegheny (13-3) on Tuesday.

Mars (9-4) dropped one spot to No. 4 in the Class 3A rankings after losing to No. 2 Beaver and Hampton last week. Thomas Jefferson (11-1) moved up two spots to No. 3, while Hampton makes its debut in the rankings at No. 5.
