The New England Patriots’ offense suffered a blow on Sunday in their 23-20 win over the Buffalo Bills.

According to Adam Schefter , running back Antonio Gibson suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season.

Gibson was injured while returning a kick during the second quarter of Sunday’s game. He left the game and did not return.

The veteran has been the team’s top return man and third running back this season. He’s averaging 4.2 yards per carry, the highest mark on the team. Pro Football Focus also grades Gibson as the team’s best pass-blocking running back.

Rhamondre Stevenson fumbled again on Sunday but continued to get touches after the turnover. He went on to score two touchdowns in the game, but many have questioned his reliability.
