A counter-terror marksman, known only as W80, shot an unarmed father-of-two dead at close range, a misconduct hearing heard.
Jermaine Baker, 28, was part of a plot to snatch two prisoners from a transporter leaving Wood Green Crown Court, north London in December 2015.
After the plan was foiled Mr Baker’s stolen Audi A6 was surrounded by armed police.
Unable to see through steamed up windows, W80 opened the door and Mr Baker was shot at close range by the counter-terror specialist who thought he was reaching for a gun.
