ROSWELL, Ga. — A juvenile was taken into custody after Roswell Police said they barricaded themselves inside an apartment with a gun.
Roswell officers said they were initially called around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday to an apartment on Tree Ridge Parkway to respond to a "drug-related domestic incident."
When police arrived, they said officers encountered the juvenile, who was armed with a handgun.
"The juvenile retreated into the apartment and barricaded the door," according to Roswell Police.
Others inside the residence were escorted outside safely.
"After several hours of communication with the subject, the juvenile surrendered peacefully," Roswell Police said.
Officers said the juvenile was taken into custody and is facing obstruction of law enforcement and firearm-related charges.
