The Central Alabama Community Foundation has presented $144,862 in shelter and social service grants to nonprofit organizations across the River Region.

At a ceremony today at the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce, the grants were given to nonprofits that provide housing assistance and social service programs .throughout the River Region.

Here is the list of the organizations receiving grants:

$18,000.00 to Fishers Farm to replace outdated, worn furniture in the residential recovery home for men overcoming addiction and homelessness in Montgomery County.

$12,250.00 to Grove MGM to provide meals, cooking and cleaning supplies, experiences, honorarium, Uber/bus vouchers, work uniforms and shoes for all residents as they age out of Foster Care, as well as bedding, laptop/printer and tow
