Elbridge, N.Y. — A Syracuse motorcyclist was critically injured Monday morning in a crash with a SUV in the town of Elbridge, troopers said.
Around 10:52 a.m., State Police went to the crash on Route 5 east of the village of Elbridge, according to Trooper Jeniffer Jiron, a spokesperson for State Police.
Elizabeth R. Shapiro, 32, of Florida, was going east in her Ford Explorer on Route 5 and had come to a stop at the intersection of Kester Road to turn left.
As Shapiro started to turn, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by Mark S. Clements, 60, also traveling east on Route 5, collided with the driver’s side front of the car while she was turning, troopers said.
Clements was critically injured and was taken to Upstate University Hospital. He is now in stable condition, troopers said.
